I am quite dissapointed with Lush's Sweet Japanese Girl cleansing bar. Had I known it would behave like this I wouldn't have bought it! It's oily. Very oily. It melts in contact with *hot* water and leaves a thick greasy film that would come useful should I decide to re-direct my career towards, say, extreme-weather fishing.
The aim of a cleansing bar is for you to feel *cleaner* after using it, and that is certainly not the case. According to the use directions, I have to "wipe off with warm water on cotton wool or a soft face cloth". That is, I suppose, given an inordinate amount of time, and without a view to getting any subsequent moisturising products to permeate the oily -albeit thinner- primer!
In short, unless you use some form of soap to remove the greasiness, you won't feel clean (and I really don't see how you can feel "nicely scrubbed" if the old cells are lying about your face trapped in the sorry gunk!). And by the time you've used the soap, any real moisturising effect the bar should have is *gone*.
Has anybody else tried Sweet Japanese girl? I'd like to know your views.

Thank you v. much to goth_twiglet for her help. I have now found a recipe for Daktyla :-)

And it looks like the "angular, little black seeds" I remembered the bread having were nigella, black caraway or love-in-a-mist seeds.

I've never trusted neatness. Neatness has always been the form of very deliberate planning.

When I was about 13 I loved the re-runs of Mission Impossible on TV. I thought
1.- Martin Landau was really cute.
2.- Cinnamon was a really cool name.
I still think Martin Landau was cute.

I am quite tempted by Alexander McQueen's new perfume, My Queen. At the moment I'm only being lured (quite effectively) by the bottle and the "description" of its notes. Has anybody out there tried it?

I have finished Mitch Albom's book (easily readable in one sitting). I like it quite a bit, and more than I thought I would.
Has anybody read Tuesdays with Morrie?
This is the 3rd day in a row that I've had a migraine at some point of the day or night. I'd say I'm on a roller :-/ Fencing it off with painkillers, but not ibuprofen, as I think it makes my hands feel shaky (as in, they don't actually shake but I feel my lower arms and hands tingly and jittery even if looking at them they appear to be normal). Weird.

I had a blood test today, and was very good. I didn't start breathing like Darth Vader in what tends to end up as a giddy-headed hyperventilation scene. Yes, I'm a total wuss ;-P
